Course Line-Up Posted!
We added a new pistol series designed to improve your shooting abilities for both precision and defensive applications. We are still offering Defensive Shooting Fundamentals/Tactical Pistol, Tactical Carbine, Vehicle Strategies and Tactics, and Close Quarter Tactics for both pistol and carbine.
Our pistol series consists of 3 levels of classes, Fundamental Pistol (Bronze), Dynamic Pistol (Silver), and Tactical Pistol (Gold). There are two levels in both Fundamental Pistol and Dynamic Pistol. These classes should be taken in sequence. There are four classes in the Tactical Pistol offerings and they may be taken in any order. This series is focused on skill enhancement to improve tactical performance. Each class builds off of the other.
Paladin Tactical will also be adding airsoft options in the near future. This will allow us to expand our CQB training options at the range and will also permit us to conduct CQB training off-site at any facility.
REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR THE FOLLOWING CLASSES
- January 31 & February 1 - Illinois 16 Hour Concealed Carry
- February 1 - Illinois 8 Hour Concealed Carry
- February 1 - Illinois 3 Hour CCL Renewal
- February 8 - Intro to Pistol Optics
- Protective Pistol Series classes will begin in February 2026
- The Paladin Protective Pistol series will cover three skill levels; Fundamental (bronze), Dynamic (silver), and Tactical (gold) certifications.
- The Fundamentals class (Level 1 & Level 2) may be taken before or after completing a Concealed Carry License course.
- We anticipate our CQB training facility will be ready to go by early spring
We will be posting additional courses for the beginning of 2026 this month. The progression of classes will begin with basic skills courses and then advance through various classes designed to increase your skills and confidence. As always, we will run a full 16 hour Illinois Concealed Carry Class and a 3 Hour CCL Renewal class quarterly. If demand exists, we will offer this or any other class in our line up in addition to a scheduled course rotation. We will also schedule one of our courses or a custom course for a private group.

Private Courses for Groups or Individuals
Paladin Tactical offers group rates for private classes. We have a flat rate schedule based on the size of the group.
Individual instruction is based on an hourly rate with a two hour minimum. Contact us for details.
Concealed Carry Classes:
Paladin Tactical provides training that meets the requirements of the Illinois State Police for obtaining a Concealed Carry License. In addition to the concealed carry classes posted on our training calendar, we are also scheduling CCL classes for groups on request. We are conducting both the initial training (16 hours), and the CCL re-certification (3 hours).For further information or to request a class, contact us.
Exceptions to the 16 Hour CCL Requirement:
The administrative rules governing training hours required to qualify for a Concealed Carry License do allow credit for other, specified training. The state will pernit you to claim up to 8 hours of credit from previous training.
8 Hours Training Credit: Active, retired, or honorably discharged members of the U.S. Armed Forces; previously qualified law enforcement or corrections officers; and the following NRA courses - Basic Pistol, Personal Protection in the Home, and Personal Protection Outside the Home.
4 Hours Training Credit: Illinois Hunter Safety Course; Chicago Firearms Safety Course; and concealed carry training from the following states - Utah, Florida, Nevada, Missouri, Kentucky, and Michigan.
You must present a training certificate/proof of attendance to receive credit for the above training.
Church Security Team Training
We offer presentations on church security, the need for developing all-hazards response plans, and the importance of having a trained church security team. These presentations are offered at no cost. Simply contact us to schedule.
We also offer a series of courses designed to train church security teams in the areas of Team operations, firearms skills, movement, and room clearing. The firearms classes are held at the Paladin Tactical Academy; others can be conducted on site.
